A Story Of Two Young Men…

See if you can relate to this true story…

Two young men were the best of friends. They went to church together and got along fabulously. They went to school together with never a trace of difficulty in their relationship. They enjoyed many church-related trips together. These two men spent hours talking about things they were interested in with never a disagreement or a strong word.

But then, these two young men went to work for the same company and reported to the same boss…

Suddenly, one of these young men started manifesting a very cranky, competitive, and paranoid spirit. He was just sure his “friend” was trying to gain an advantage over him. He was sure that his “friend” was trying to maneuver in closer to the boss. He was sure that his “friend” was trying to get the better tasks, leaving him “out in the cold” with the less enjoyable tasks.

Have you ever found yourself in a position where you felt like other people were trying to gain the advantage over you and maneuver their way over you where they could “shut you out”?

If so, pay careful attention to what you’re about to read.

This young man who became cranky, competitive, and paranoid allowed the spirit of this world to blind his eyes to the abundance that God has for him.

See, the worlds view is that there everything is finite and limited.

The worlds view is that the money that can be paid out in salaries is limited and therefore, the “many” employees must compete for the “few” pay raises.

The worlds view is that there are only so many promotion opportunities and therefore, the “many” people must be compete for the “few” opportunities.

The worlds view is to try to get “what they can see”.

When a higher-level job opportunity appears within a given department, most everyone within that department will “see” the opportunity at which point they will start clamoring, competing, and even fighting for it.

But, Gods way is DIFFERENT and BETTER!

In God’s way, you don’t have to compete for limitation and lack. Instead, you get to CREATE abundance.

How do you transition from competing to creating?

It starts by changing your focus to pleasing the Lord instead of trying to please men. When you are focused on pleasing the Lord, you will automatically perform at your highest level possible.

You will automatically strive to be the best that you can possibly be.

Colossions 3:23-24 says it this way – “And whatsoever ye do, do it heartily, as to the Lord, and not unto men; Knowing that of the Lord ye shall receive the reward of the inheritance: for ye serve the Lord Christ.”

Did you catch the phrase, “Knowing that of the Lord ye shall receive”?

Here’s the thing. When you focus on pleasing the Lord, then the Lord will create opportunities out of nothing for you. The Lord will create opportunities for advancement, growth, increase, and abundance that you cannot even see yet.

Here’s proof that God will do what I’m saying…

Isaiah 43:19 – “Behold, I will do a new thing; now it shall spring forth; shall ye not know it? I will even make a way in the wilderness, and rivers in the desert.”

Do you see the depth and power of God’s Word?

“New things” – opportunities for increase that you hadn’t recognized or thought about before
“It shall spring forth” – opportunities for increase will appear that you were not able to see before
“I will even make a way in the wilderness” – to the world everything looks like limitation, lack, and scant resources but out of this “nothing” God will create abundance for you
“Rivers in the desert” – deserts don’t have rivers – that’s why they are deserts. But with God all things are possible. It might appear that what you want isn’t available. It may seem like its not an option. But God can and will create the abundance that you want out of the impossible. Notice the word Rivers. This isn’t one trickle of water. This isn’t even a stream of water. It’s big and multiple Rivers of water. That’s the kind of abundance God will create in your life.

When you are focused on pleasing the Lord, the Lord will automatically present opportunities for abundance in your life.

The Lord will create a way where there is no way.

Make sure you get this. You don’t have to compete.

Instead, focus on doing all as unto the Lord. Be the best that you can be.

Love your neighbor as yourself.

This means help your neighbor obtain the increase that he or she is looking for realizing that God has an over-abundance and there is plenty for your neighbor to have all that he or she wants and for you to have all that you want.

Have a merry countenance (a big smile) like the Bible talks about. Perform acts of kindness and love at every opportunity.

And when you do these things, you’ll soon find Psalms 115:14 to be true in your life, “The LORD shall increase you more and more”

This is a concept that applies to all areas of your life – financial, health, relationships, and so on.

But I don’t know what God’s will is for my life?

Here’s the first thing you need to be clear on…

Job 36:5 – ” Behold, God is mighty, and despiseth not any: he is mighty in strength and wisdom.”

This lets you know that you are IN.

By surrendering your life to Christ, you automatically make it IN to God’s CLUB – where HE will work through you.

There are plenty of clubs formed by men that may be inaccessible to you.

But, the biggest, most important club of all – God’s club – is freely available to you and He will in no way despise or reject you.

So, the first thing you need to settle is that through Christ, you are a member of God’s club and God WILL perform HIS will through the members of His club – including you.

Now, here’s the next thing you need to know…

Job 5:8-9 – “I would seek unto God, and unto God would I commit my cause: Which doeth great things and unsearchable; marvellous things without number”

Proverbs 3:5-6 says – ” Trust in the LORD with all thine heart; and lean not unto thine own understanding. In all thy ways acknowledge him, and he shall direct thy paths.”

Isaiah 48:17 – “Thus saith the LORD, thy Redeemer, the Holy One of Israel; I am the LORD thy God which teacheth thee to profit,which leadeth thee by the way that thou shouldest go.”

From these scriptures you can see that you are to commit your way unto the Lord and He will perform great things in your life and do great things through you – both financially and otherwise.

But, patience is required. Our human nature is to want the big and great things right now. We don’t want to wait.

However, God in His great goodness and wisdom knows that each of us needs a time of preparation to get us ready for Him to work through.

In fact, what you must understand is that if you will remain faithful, it’s during those seemingly hard times of where nothing is happening the way you want them to that God is actually preparing you so that He can do great things through you.

Consider these Biblical examples of God preparing:

Joseph, the great deliver for Israel. He spent years as a slave and then more years in a jail while God prepared him to be great
Moses, the great deliver for Israel. He spent years in Egypt and then more years in the desert before he was fully qualified for God to work through Him.
Jesus, the Savior of the World. According to what we understand from the Bible and history, Jesus himself spent 30 years allowing God to prepare him so that God could work through him during the last 3 years of his life.
Paul, the Apostle of Jesus Christ. After his conversion, he spent years hiding out in the desert learning from God.

And there hundreds of other examples besides these.

Now, I’m not suggesting that you have to spend time in the desert or in a jail in order for God to work through you. But, I am telling you that the Bible makes it clear that God prepares us for His work, for His Kingdom, and He will glorify His name in our lives.

Now, having said all of this, there are some things that you can get started with right away that will pave the way to God doing bigger and bigger works in your life.

Mt 25:34-40 – “Then shall the King say unto them on his right hand, Come, ye blessed of my Father, inherit the kingdom prepared for you from the foundation of the world: For I was an hungered, and ye gave me meat: I was thirsty, and ye gave me drink: I was a stranger, and ye took me in: Naked, and ye clothed me: I was sick, and ye visited me: I was in prison, and ye came unto me. Then shall the righteous answer him, saying, Lord, when saw we thee an hungered, and fed thee? or thirsty, and gave thee drink? When saw we thee a stranger, and took thee in? or naked, and clothed thee? Or when saw we thee sick, or in prison, and came unto thee? And the King shall answer and say unto them, Verily I say unto you,Inasmuch as ye have done it unto one of the least of these my brethren, ye have done it unto me.”

James 1:27 – “Pure religion and undefiled before God and the Father is this, To visit the fatherless and widows in their affliction, and to keep himself unspotted from the world.”

Scriptures like these tell us that it is God’s will that we perform acts of kindness and love at any and every opportunity.

Perhaps the best example of how important it is to do acts of kindness for our fellow man or woman is in the book of Job. Throughout this entire book, you can read of Jobs acts of kindness. And, it was these very acts of love and kindness that led Job to great wealth and affluence.

And, it will for you too.

So, how does a person know what God’s will is for their life?

Well, there will be some times where it is very clear what God’s will is and times when it is not clear at all.

But, you can rest assured that whether you see what God’s will is for you or not, God has great things that He is either doing through you – and you just can’t see it yet. Or, He is preparing you so that He can do great things through you at a future time.

So, hold to the vision of God working through you and doing great things in your life. Every day give praise and thanks to God for the great things that He is doing in your life (even if you can’t see anything yet).

And one day, you’ll recognize with surprise that God is performing His will through you and that He is doing great things through you.

Let’s consider the “Good Samaritan” story from the Bible…

Luke 10:27 – 37
“And he answering said, Thou shalt love the Lord thy God with all thy heart, and with all thy soul, and with all thy strength, and with all thy mind; and thy neighbour as thyself. And he said unto him, Thou hast answered right: this do, and thou shalt live. But he, willing to justify himself, said unto Jesus, And who is my neighbour? And Jesus answering said, A certain man went down from Jerusalem to Jericho, and fell among thieves, which stripped him of his raiment, and wounded him, and departed, leaving him half dead. And by chance there came down a certain priest that way: and when he saw him, he passed by on the other side. And likewise a Levite, when he was at the place, came and looked on him, and passed by on the other side. But a certain Samaritan, as he journeyed, came where he was: and when he saw him, he had compassion on him, And went to him, and bound up his wounds, pouring in oil and wine, and set him on his own beast, and brought him to an inn, and took care of him. And on the morrow when he departed, he took out two pence, and gave them to the host, and said unto him, Take care of him; and whatsoever thou spendest more, when I come again, I will repay thee. Which now of these three, thinkest thou, was neighbour unto him that fell among the thieves? And he said, He that showed mercy on him. Then said Jesus unto him, Go, and do thou likewise.”

Now, let me ask this question, “Why did the priest and the Levite pass by without giving aid to the wounded and needy man?”

I believe these men cared about people, or they wouldn’t have been in the vocation they were in.

Have you ever seen a person who was clearly in need and you felt pity for them? Didn’t you feel sorry for them? Didn’t you wish that you could help them?

Why did you pass on by?

I believe you passed on by them for the exact same reason the priest and the Levite passed on by… because you didn’t have the financial wherewithal (and consequently, you didn’t have the time freedom) to help the wounded and needy person.

No sane person in their right mind can see a person in need and not want to respond. This is known as pity.

And though people feel pity towards the wounded and the needy, they will decide not to respond – not because they don’t care – but because they themselves are poor.

But the man in Christ’s story had the financial wherewithal to be able to show and express his love towards his neighbor.

What was the last thing that Christ said in this story?

Are you in a financial position (and a time position) where you can go and show love towards your neighbor?

Don’t you think it’s about time that you decided to become a Millionaire For Jesus?

How to increase your income…

Ultimately, you want to reach that position where dollars are working for you instead of you working and trading your time for dollars.

Trading time for dollars is not very leverageable.

There just isn’t enough time for you to get to the scale and level where there is big money. Even if you do get to the point where you are earning big money for your time, you will find that your time is so consumed that you can’t enjoy the fullness and goodness of life.

In the meantime, while you are transitioning away from trading time for dollars, it helps if you can increase the number of dollars you can get for your time.

Becoming an expert is how you get more dollars for your time.

Here’s how you can become an expert in as little as two (2) days:

Day 1

Step 1

Go to your Central Library
Go to the department that has the Periodicals Back-Issues
Find the periodicals that pertain to whatever topic you want to become an expert in
Scan through the periodicals and find articles that pertain to the specific subject you want to become the expert in. Don’t read them. If an article looks promising, write the title and the author down and keep scanning through the rest of your periodicals.

Step 2

Now, go to the Research Department
Find the computers with the Research Databases and log on
Go to the EBSCO Database (which is a database of scanned articles from thousands and thousands of periodicals) and select the categories that pertain to your area of interest
Search for the title of each article
Click on the article title. Don’t read the article. Instead, click the email link and email it to your home email address.
Do this for all of the articles that you found in the periodical back-issues that looked promising.
Now, do a more general search for ANY articles that pertain to your area of interest.
Email all of the articles that look promising to your home email address.

Go home and get rested up for Day 2

Your very own parade…

Sometimes people are hesitant to launch forward into their own business.

They’re not sure if what they have to offer has any value.

Imagine that you are standing to the side of a passing parade.

It looks like a lot of fun and you want to join in… but it just seems a little too scary to step in.

About that time, you see the end of the parade. You decide to go for it. You step from the side and you join the parade – at the very back.

You march with the parade for a short while when suddenly, you notice that other people are falling in behind you.

With each passing step, you gain experience. You learn what works and what doesn’t work.

And, the further you go with the parade, the more people there are behind you.

People who need your help. People who haven’t went as far as you. People who could benefit from your knowledge and experience.

You want to help those behind you. But then, you think of those who are ahead of you. They know so much more than you. They might think that what you have to offer is too elementary. Too basic. They might laugh at you or make fun of you.

Forget about those who are ahead of you. Quit speculating on what those ahead of you might think. Let go of all that.

Those people ahead of you aren’t your audience. They aren’t the ones you can help. Your focus is on those who are behind you.

In fact, you can probably help those who are behind you better than those in front of you can.

You can remember not knowing how to do basic things. You now know how to do those things and you can easily teach someone who doesn’t know.

The man or woman way up front of the parade, doesn’t even remember having to do such things. They are too advanced for the people that are behind you.

But you! You are just right to help those who are behind you.

Don’t hesitate!

Step out!

Launch forward!

Now!

Don’t worry about anything.

There are people behind you that need your help.

And then one day, you turn around and realize that you are leading your own great parade.

Three Financial Objectives…

1. Your first financial objective should be to get to a point where you operate on a cash-only basis and you are debt free.

a. Your first focus should be on increasing your earning power so that it is easier to operate on a cash-only basis and eliminate the debt.

b. Be CAREFUL to avoid a lifestyle designed to attract attention. Things designed to attract attention – gaudy things – are always expensive and are anathema to your wealth. Keep in mind, we are to bring glory to God – not ourselves.

c. Be careful that you don’t try to BUY happiness by purchasing “things” and “stuff”. Happiness is ABSOLUTELY yours as soon as you make two decisions: One, surrender your heart and life to Christ. Two, understand that happiness is a state of mind and that God has given you the power to decide what your thoughts are. Therefore, you can decide and choose to be happy by choosing the thoughts and feelings that you allow yourself to have. In contrast, spending money on something that produces short-term gratification only leads to spending money on something more expensive – so that you can have another moment of short-term gratification – further reducing your ability to accrue wealth. Before you spend money on something, ask yourself if the purchase is pleasing unto God and whether it will bring joy and enrichment to family and friend relationships.

2. Your second financial objective should be to get the point where all of your income is distributed as follows:

a. 10% goes to God

b. 30% goes towards living expenses (food, clothing, shelter, transportation, etc.)

c. 30% goes toward enjoyment in life (travel, recreation, dining out, etc.)

d. 30% goes into your wealth-building account

3. Your third financial objective should be to reach a point where you can put a pre-determined amount of cash ($1M, $3M, $5M, etc) into guaranteed and safe bank investments.

a. Although the return will be quite low, given the level of money, you will be able to comfortably live off of the interest for the rest of your life.

b. More importantly, you will no longer be tied to a job or a business and you will gain greater time freedom to work for God and to do things in God’s Kingdom.

c. You should determine in your heart right now, and make an irrevocable commitment that all money above your predetermined amount is God’s money to be used only for the purpose of building up and expanding God’s Kingdom.

4. Warning:

a. Always, always remember that although God intends for us to enjoy all the goodness and fullness of life that He has given us, He also intends for us to “bring forth fruit” unto Him.

b. Having big money IS NOT about “totally consuming it upon the Lusts of the flesh” and living some outrageous lifestyle designed to get the attention of people.

c. Having big money IS about building up and expanding the Kingdom of God WHILE we enjoy the goodness of life that God has given us with family, friends, and brothers and sisters in Christ.
d. To have any other perspective will cost you your most valuable possession – your soul!

The Wealth Formula…

1. Come up with a primary income stream. For most people, this is a job. As I have said in previous articles, you should be aggressively moving towards owning your own business so that you have more control over your income and your time. Further, owning your own business is important from a tax perspective. When you are an employee working a job, you earn money, Uncle Sam takes his portion first, and then whatever is left over, you can use as you see fit. For most people, this means that they are in effect working for free for the first 3-4 months of the year. Not very smart! When you own your own business, you earn money, decide how it is going to be used, and then whatever is left, Uncle Sam can tax. This makes a huge difference in your ability to accrue wealth.

2. Give God his part of all your income.

3. Take another part of your income and put it into a wealth building account.

a. Most people say take a portion of your money and put it in savings. This is wrong. You aren’t looking to “save”. Saving won’t get you there because there will always be something that comes up where you have to tap into your savings. If you are saving for a rainy day, guess what you are going to attract into your life? That’s right, rainy days.

b. What you are looking to do is build your wealth. Instead of putting your money into “savings”, you want to put your money into a wealth-building account. When you put your money into a wealth-building account, guess what you are going to attract? Right again, opportunities to build wealth.

c. The amount you contribute to the wealth-building account isn’t what’s important. Developing the habit of contributing to the wealth-building account EVERY SINGLE TIME money comes to you is what’s important. Once it is a habit, the contribution amount will increase over time.

4. While you are building up your wealth-building account, start looking for investments that meet the following criteria:

a. You can retain significant control of it. The outcome of the stock market is not something you can control and so therefore, stocks or futures are not good investments.

b. It won’t take your focus away from your primary income stream.

c. At the very least, it will passively produce a significant return on your investment. That is, it should appreciate in value with little to no effort on your part.

d. Even better, it will become a passive income stream that requires very little of your time and produces money on an ongoing basis. Investments that produce ongoing royalties, commissions, residual sales, dividends, or rental fees are ideal.

e. You are able to develop a thorough understanding of it. Virtually all investment failures can be traced back to a lack of understanding on the part of the investor.

f. It does not violate or take away from other people.

g. There are few to no employees required and certainly, there are no “expensive expert” employees required. Here’s the thing, employees require “baby sitting”. As a Millionaire For Jesus, your time is worth at least $481 per hour which means if you spend an hour baby sitting an employee, you just cost yourself no less than $481 and possibly more. Further, employees always want “stuff” – not because they necessarily need it but because they feel gratification in spending your money.

h. It is something for which there is a high demand for it.

i. It is something for which you have a reasonable level of interest in it. Something that you have no interest in is rarely a good investment.

j. It is primarily a cash-up-front or cash-each-payment-period type investment as opposed to a “terms” business where you are always having to try to collect your money.

k. It is something which you can purchase outright from your wealth-building account. Many wealth guru’s would strongly disagree with this, but from a Biblical perspective, it’s not God’s will for His people to be under bondage of debt. The presence of debt takes away people’s ability to make the best choices in their lives because of the debt. In the absence of debt, a person is able to make choices and decisions based on what fits their life, their family, and their work for God rather than choices and decisions based on making payments on the debt. Bottom line, the Millionaire For Jesus makes small investments they can purchase outright that produce gains and growth that lead to bigger and bigger investments.

l. Real Estate is the most common investment vehicle because it fits all of the above criteria.

m. Business creation or purchase is the second most common vehicle. The most common types of businesses (due to their low-overhead and high-margin potential) include: information product providers, direct marketing companies, laundry mats, storage units, and vending businesses. There are many, many other wise investments besides these.

5. Once you have found an investment that fits all of the above criteria and your wealth-building account can fund it, make your investment.

6. Then, whatever money this investment produces should go right back into your wealth-building account. It’s important to remember that you live off of your primary income stream. A profit from your investment doesn’t mean “party time” or go spend it (blow it) on “stuff”. It means take every penny possible from the investment and put it right back into the wealth-building account so that you can make even bigger investments with even bigger returns.

7. Now, simply repeat this process over and over.

He made me such that I can choose to have good in every part of my life (Deuteronomy 8)

The good things inside the above box are what I choose (write them in).

From this point forward, whenever I see, feel, or think something in or about myself that isn’t in this box, I hereby and forevermore decide to totally, completely, and unanimously REJECT IT and I emphatically choose to have what is inside this box!

I do not want or need justification from someone else in order to be, do, and have something great. The fact that God made me marvelously is justification enough. Further, Romans 8:33 tells me that it is “God who justifieth”.

I understand that it takes faith to be, do, and have something great and Romans 5:1 lets me know that being “justified by faith, I have peace with God through my Lord Jesus Christ”. The Bible reveals that I am a Soul, a Mind, and a Body and this Romans 5:1 verse applies to all three parts of me.

I know why you don’t have what you really want…

What is it that is holding you back from what it is that you really want? What is it that is preventing you from POSSESSING that which you really desire?

What if I make a fool out of myself?

Why?

Because fear is a paradox. If you fear failure, then you are guaranteed to fail every time. This is the paradox of fear.

If you fear failure, you will fail each and every time. It’s as simple as that and it’s totally guaranteed.

Your fear of failure is ITSELF the biggest failure. Did you get that? The biggest failure is to fear failure.

Because you fear failure, you decide to play it “safe”.

But I must ask you…

Safe from what?

Safe from all the great, wonderful, beautiful, spectacular, amazing things that you could do, be, and have?

Think about that.

Do you really want to be safe from the good and wonderful life that God would like to give you?

Do you really want to “play it safe”, repeating this same “fear of failure” pattern your whole life, until at the last, you come down to death’s bed, never having really lived, never having really accomplished anything great in the Kingdom of God?

Is this what you really want?

Why is it that people always run these self-defeating, negative lines that shut them down? Why don’t they run positive lines that lead them on to accomplishing and achieving great things?

One of my favorite examples of the right way to think can be found in 1 Samuel 14:6-7 “And Jonathan said to the young man that bare his armour, Come, and let us go over unto the garrison of these uncircumcised: it may be that the LORD will work for us: for there is no restraint to the LORD to save by many or by few. And his armourbearer said unto him, Do all that is in thine heart: turn thee; behold, I am with thee according to thy heart.”

Did you see the powerful script that was played in Jonathan’s mind? The script that Jonathan lived by was:

Come, and let me __<fill in the blank with something great and wonderful>__: it may be that the LORD will work for me: for there is no restraint to the LORD to __<fill in the blank with something great and wonderful>__.

In this story, Jonathan has an amourbearer. Let me ask you, who is your armourbearer? Who is your shield and buckler? Who is your strength? THE LORD IS!

And it is my full belief that if you have a desire to do great things in God’s Kingdom, then the LORD is saying the same thing to you that Jonathan’s armourbearer said to him, “Do all that is in thine heart. I am with thee according to they heart.”

Acts 10:38 tells us that “Jesus of Nazareth…went about doing good…for God was with him”. And, we know from the Bible, that Jesus was “God in the flesh” and that “if we’ve seen Jesus, we’ve seen the Father”.

My point is that God is a GOOD GOD who wants GOOD IN YOUR LIFE and who wants you to do GOOD IN HIS KINGDOM.

It is important to lay aside your fear of failure so that God can do good things in your life and through your life. But, there’s another reason why it’s important for you to lay aside your fear of failure…

Revelations 21:8 describes to us a list of sins that if committed will absolutely doom our souls to hell.

Guess what is at the top of God’s list?

Answer: The fearful.

Go back through this article. Read through it. Meditate on it. Build yourself some new, positive scripts. Every time you catch yourself playing one of those old negative scripts, tell yourself:

“I reject these negative thoughts because they are not of God. Instead, I choose to believe in God and believe that He wants to do great things for me and through me.”

Make Sure You Get This – Yet Another Reprise

I still can’t get away from this vein of thought so here’s a question for you…

Why would a mere teenage boy named a David, choose to go to battle against an apparently undefeatable foe, a mighty and seasoned warrior-giant named Goliath?

Really think about the LUNACY of David going to battle against Goliath.

The Bible tells us in 1 Samuel chapter 17 that everyone else in the nation of Israel was afraid to confront Goliath in spite of his repeated insults. In fact, when Goliath appeared on the scene, the Bible tells us that all the men of Israel fled in terror.

But then, David shows up, takes one look at the situation and has an entirely different RESPONSE from every other man in the nation of Israel.

Why the different response?

Because David understood something that no one else in his nation understood. David understood that God wants to do great and mighty things through any person who will believe in Him and trust in Him.

David understood that God will channel His power and might through anyone who will let Him.

While everyone else in the nation of Israel was experiencing the situation through the five physical senses, David was experiencing the situation from a spiritual perspective that said the power of the unseen God was FAR GREATER than anything that could be seen (no matter how big it was) in the physical world.

Does the notion of being a Millionaire For Jesus – a man or woman who does great things in the Kingdom of God seem like such a GIANT IMPOSSIBILITY that you run from the very thought in terror?

Take courage in the understanding that God wants to do great things through you and that God WILL work through you to confront and defeat all that is OPPOSING you from building up and expanding His Kingdom.

Make Sure You Get This – A Reprise…

It is so important that you get this concept that God wants to do great things through you that I’m going to hit on it again…

John 15:5 – “I am the vine, ye are the branches: He that abideth in me, and I in him, the same bringeth forth much fruit”

Christ is telling us in this scripture that if we are in Him, big things are going to happen through us. And then, the Bible goes on to say:

John 15:8 – “Herein is my Father glorified, that ye bear much fruit”

How do we bring Glory to God? By allowing Him to do big and great things through us.

2 Corinthians 1:20 says, “For all the promises of God (God makes no little promises) in him (Jesus) are yea (Yes), and in him Amen (So be it), unto the glory of God by us (GOD’S PROMISES ARE FULFILLED BY CHRIST WORKING THROUGH YOU AND I).”

In Ephesians 6:10, we read, “Be strong in the Lord, and in the power of his might”

There is nothing in this verse that insinuates we should be puny weaklings who accomplish nothing for God.

Let me wrap up with these words from King David:

1 Chronicles 22:14 – “Now, behold, in my trouble I have prepared for the house of the LORD an hundred thousand talents of gold, and a thousand thousand talents of silver; and of brass and iron without weight; for it is in abundance: timber also and stone have I prepared; and thou mayest add thereto.”

Notice the phrase, “in my trouble”. In spite of all the difficulties that King David dealt with in his life, he still had a focus on creating wealth so that he could be a part of building up God’s Kingdom. Sure you’ll face troubles and difficulties in life, but that doesn’t excuse you from becoming a Millionaire For Jesus.

Next, notice the phrase, “and thou mayest add thereto”. Not only did King David create wealth for God’s work, but he instructs his son to create even more wealth so that God’s work could be even greater. This let’s us know that its not acceptable to God for us to sit and CONSUME what great men before us have worked to create. Instead, we are to add to what those before us have done.

Also, look at these numbers. My old Bible dictionary says a talent of Gold is worth approximately $30,000. That means that in today’s money, King David had amassed WAY over $3 Billion dollars in just Gold. Then, this scripture tells us that King David had amassed 1 Million (a thousand thousand) talents of Silver. Going back to my old dictionary, a talent of Silver is worth approximately $1,000. That means that King David had more than $1 Billion in just Silver.

And so I ask you, is it any problem for God to bring $1 Million or more into your life? I don’t think so! When you really get a full grasp of what great and big things God wants to do through you, $1 Million seems like a rather PALTRY amount, doesn’t it?

1 Chronicles 22:16 – “Of the gold, the silver, and the brass, and the iron, there is no number. Arise therefore, and be doing, and the LORD be with thee.”

This verse says it all perfectly:

God has UNLIMITED wealth.
God has BIG works and BIG projects that He wants to see implemented in His Kingdom.
All that’s missing is someone through which He can work.
All God is waiting on is for YOU to “Arise therefore, and BE DOING, and the LORD be with thee.”

Just to keep the record straight, God wants to put this money in your life – not so that you can be lifted up in yourself or to try to bring glory to yourself – but to build up His Kingdom and bring Glory to HIS NAME. Sure, King David had nice things and was able to enjoy life. But, he always remembered that most important of all was to Glorify God.

Make Sure You Get This…

I really need you to understand that God WANTS to do great things through you to build up and expand His Kingdom.

Read through this familiar story of Peter walking on the water and then I’m going to make a point I can almost guarantee you’ve never grasped before…

Matthew 14:24-33
“But the ship was now in the midst of the sea, tossed with waves: for the wind was contrary. And in the fourth watch of the night Jesus went unto them, walking on the sea. And when the disciples saw him walking on the sea, they were troubled, saying, It is a spirit; and they cried out for fear. But straightway Jesus spake unto them, saying, Be of good cheer; it is I; be not afraid. And Peter answered him and said, Lord, if it be thou, bid me come unto thee on the water.
And he said, Come. And when Peter was come down out of the ship, he walked on the water, to go to Jesus. But when he saw the wind boisterous, he was afraid; and beginning to sink, he cried, saying, Lord, save me. And immediately Jesus stretched forth his hand, and caught him, and said unto him, O thou of little faith, wherefore didst thou doubt? And when they were come into the ship, the wind ceased. Then they that were in the ship came and worshipped him, saying, Of a truth thou art the Son of God.”

So, we have a situation here where a group of men are in a storm, and they see the figure of a man walking on the water. Just like you would, these men became afraid. And then, the figure of a man announces that He is Jesus. Now, these men have a quandary. How can they PROVE that this is truly Jesus.

But, the Apostle Peter understood something that so FEW people understand. And, because he understood this something, he knew exactly what to ask…

“Lord, if it be thou, bid me come unto thee on the water.”

Do you see what Peter understood that you need to understand too?

Peter understood that it is God’s will to do great things through His people. Peter understood that if this was truly the Lord, then amazing things would flow from the Father, through Jesus, to Peter and out to the world for an everlasting testimony.

And what did Jesus answer back? A simple, one-word, life-changing answer, “Come.”

It never occurred to Peter’s friends that God would like to do something BIG in their lives AT THAT VERY MOMENT! And because Peter’s friends did not understand this concept, they never walked on water. Later, they came to understand this concept, but they forever missed out on the opportunity to walk on water.

They all could have walked on the water but only Peter did.

God wants to do GREAT things in your life AT THIS VERY MOMENT! Jesus is saying the same thing to you right now, “Come.”

Just because your friends are setting back thinking and acting small, doesn’t mean you have to think and act small too.

Step out on the water. Decide to be a Millionaire For Jesus who does great things in the Kingdom of God. Let your life be one of an everlasting testimony.

Go to any Bible Bookstore and you will find books of great men of God. The only thing that is different between them and you is that they understood God wants to do great things through His people. They understood this and they decided to be a vessel through which God worked.

You can decide this too. You can be a great man or woman for God.

I’m for you! God is for you! You can do it! Christ will perform it in your life!

I just ask that you come back and tell me about it so that I have yet another story of what great things God is doing through His people’s lives.

Have you ever been discouraged and frustrated?

I received the following (slightly paraphrased so that it can apply to everyone) from a Brother in Christ:

“I have stopped working on becoming a Millionaire For Jesus because it isn’t happening and I don’t understand why. My vision is to bring thousands and thousands of people into the Kingdom of the Lord which is why I need the money – not to put in the bank but to decrease the devil’s kingdom.”

I myself have felt this same frustration, disappointment, and discouragement expressed by this Brother. If you are human, you have felt it too.

But here’s what we have to keep in mind:

Never, ever “stop working on it”!

Constantly say with your mouth and visualize in your mind, “I am used of God in a mighty way and I lead thousands and thousands of people to Christ“. (I am using what this man wanted in this example. Feel free to adjust this to be exactly what you want it to be).

Getting frustrated at not “seeing” results “when” you want to see them is the very thing that undermines your faith and causes you to lose out on the very results you want to see.

You bring “failure” into your life when you base what you say, think, feel, and believe upon external “circumstances” and “facts“.

God never said what you see or touch is TRUTH. He said His WORD is TRUTH.

Words are non-tangible things.

God SPEAKS the WORDS of WHAT He wants – AND THEN THEY COME TO PASS.

Christ said He is coming back – WORDS – He’s not back yet, but we know that He is coming back because He said the WORDS!

God has made things to operate in exactly the same way in your life. The TRUTH is NOT that you don’t have the money to decrease the devil’s kingdom (again, using this man’s example).

The TRUTH, as it applies to your life, is what you CHOOSE to say, think, and believe – no matter what external circumstances look like – AND GOD WILL TURN IT INTO TANGIBLE REALITY.

Your job is to see the goal / vision, hold to it with relentless faith, plant and water when and where you can, AND LET GOD BRING THE INCREASE.

In Hebrews 11:1 we read about “the evidence of things not seen”. We have to fully understand that ABSENCE OF EVIDENCE IS NOT EVIDENCE THAT YOU CAN’T HAVE OR WON’T GET WHAT YOU WANT!

God is telling you that you get to CHOOSE what you want, and that the ability to MAINTAIN a mental picture of what you want is all the EVIDENCE you need for the thing to beMANIFESTED.

You must not let the fact that something isn’t happening control your thinking. You must not let your external circumstances control you. What you MUST control is your thoughts – in terms of focusing on what you want.

You must rest assured, calmly, confidently, expectantly, that what you want is on its way – it just hasn’t yet made theTRANSFORMATION from the non-physical picture that’s in your mind to the physical reality that surrounds you.

Have you ever been surprised when you got something you wanted? That wasn’t faith because true faith is never surprised. True faith is expectant. And, when it MATERIALIZES, you are thankful and grateful – but never surprised.

Also, you bring failure into your life when you can’t see HOW and get frustrated. You don’t have to worry about the HOW. God will take care of that part. Your job is to simply hold with the WILL-POWER that God has given you to the vision / goal that youCHOOSE.

Another snare that brings failure, is trying to FORCE the solution or answer to your vision / goal to come from a certain person or in a certain way or by a certain means. Don’t do this! Again, simply hold to the vision / goal of what you want and let GodMANIFEST it how He wants to and by whatever means He chooses.

Think of this: If you were to sit down in front of a rose bud and watch it for an extended period of time, it would completely bloom and unfold right before your eyes – and you would never see it move.

The same concept applies to your vision / goal. You just keep “seeing“, “saying“, and “believing” for your vision and even though it may “look” like nothing is happening, rest assured that it is.

See, the process is “invisible” to us (He’s the “Invisible God“). We get so hung up on the “outcome” and the “end result” such that we FORFEIT the vision / goal because we get frustrated during the process and we give up.

Look at every miracle that Christ performed in the Bible. In EVERY case, Christ spoke what He wanted – not what was or used to be.

Christ is our example and we must do what He did.

Brother or Sister in Christ, God is going to use you in a mighty, powerful way to build up and expand His Kingdom. Your desire is good and right so stay encouraged. Keep the faith. Don’t let the enemy steal your dream. You can do it. I know you can do it. God is for you and if God be for you, who can be against you!

The Marketing Formula – Part 4

Want to know how to move from break-even (working for $0) in your business? Want to know how to generate HUGE profits in your business? Then pay attention because I’m going to reveal the answer to these questions.

There are far too many business who never “get” what I’m about to reveal to you – which is exactly why there are so many struggling businesses and why there are so many companies that go out of business.

So what’s this big “secret” that these companies don’t know?

It’s called a BACK-END.

What’s a back-end?

Well, there are many variations. Let’s take a look at some of them:

When a customer buys your product A, you immediately start selling them on a similar and related product B. As soon as they buy product B, you start selling them on a similar and related product C. If they don’t buy product C within a designated time, you start selling them on a similar and related product D.
When a customer buys your product A, you immediately start selling them on variation B and then variation C and so on. Book of the month or video of the month type clubs are a good example of this model.
When a customer buys your product, they get a N day supply. Then, in N days, you bill them again and ship them another limited supply. Or, in N days, they come back into your shop for a new supply. Herbs, supplements, and health supplies are an example of this model. Your grocery store is another example.
When your customer buys your product, you immediately start selling them on a bigger version. When they buy the bigger version, you start selling them on an even bigger version. This model is seen a lot in the consulting / coaching world where they sell you into the “Bronze” club. Then, they try to up-sell you to the “Silver” club. Then the Gold club, then the Gold+ club, then the Platinum club, etc.
When a customer buys your product, you immediately start selling them other products that are “down-stream” from what they just bought. For example, if a person has just purchased a domain name, then we can reasonably assume they are looking to develop a web-presence. Based on this, they are likely to be interested in website hosting services, webpage design services, shopping cart services, Internet-based marketing advice, and so on.
Customers sign up to use your services or facilities and you bill them for usage charges at an appropriate interval. Your telephone and electricity service providers are examples of this model.

Here’s the deal. Obtaining a new customer typically consumes a lot of time, energy, and resources.

Why? Someone who has never done business with you doesn’t know if they can trust you. They don’t know if your product is any good. They don’t know if you will deliver on time. They have a slew of things they don’t know about you and your business that have to be overcome before they will purchase from you.

So, if you only have a one-shot product with no back-end, you will continually face the up-hill battle of finding a new prospect and overcoming all of their objections in order to make a sale.

A much, much easier business model is to make sure that you have a back-end in place so that you can sell each customer (who already knows you and trusts you) over and over and over.

Consumables, memberships, usage fees, related products or services, or advanced / bigger versions are all concepts that you can use to create a back-end of products and services in your business so that you move from break-even to hugely profitable. And by all means, use as many of these back-end concepts as you possibly can.

By the way, there is an important side-implication here. If you have what you think is a great business idea but there’s no back-end to it, forget about it. It’s NOT a good business idea if there isn’t a back-end.

Similarly, if someone approaches you with a business proposition, and it doesn’t have a great back-end, send them on down the road because it’s not a good proposition.

Here’s why this concept of back-end is important to you. An OK product with a GREAT back-end can turn you into a Millionaire For Jesus much more quickly than you might ever imagine.

The Marketing Formula – Part 3 (A Fundamental Shift)

I want to point out something very, very powerful and important. What I am about to reveal to you SHOULD result in a fundamental and critical SHIFT in YOUR way of thinking.

Once you have put the first piece of The Marketing Formula in place, meaning that you have put forth the effort to create a MONEY-SOURCE (a customer list)…

YOU NEVER HAVE TO PAY FOR ANYTHING AGAIN!

Your MONEY-SOURCE will pay for everything you want.

Do you want something for you or your family?

Do you want to do something for the Kingdom of God?

All you have to do is create or acquire a product or service that your MONEY-SOURCE wants and make it available to them.

How much money you want determines how much or how many of a product or service you need to make available to your MONEY-SOURCE.

The more valuable your product or service is to your MONEY-SOURCE, the more money they’ll give you. The bigger the problem is that your product or service solves, the more money your MONEY-SOURCE will give you. It’s as simple as that.

If you think about it, you are a MONEY-SOURCE for others. How much of your money that you give them is based upon how much value you feel they give you. There are some who give you very little value and consequently, you give them very little of your money. But those who provide you with much value, you give them much of your money.

Obviously, the trick to getting all of this to work for you is for you to make sure you have created a MONEY-SOURCE and to make sure you come up with products and services that your MONEY-SOURCE really wants. These are subjects I’ll talk about later.

The Marketing Formula – Part 2

Back to the subject of Marketing. In this post, I want to discuss the second part of The Marketing Formula first so that you can develop a better understanding of the importance of the first part. The second part of The Marketing Formula is: “Communicating With Your Customer List In The Right Way At The Right Time”. Here’s what you do:

Get potential customers to express their interest in your product or service by offering them something that is valuable, important, interesting, and meaningful to them for free. Your free offer can be a special report, a free e-Book or book, a CD or DVD, a sample, or anything that is relevant to your product or service and a problem your potential customer is having that they desperately want to resolve. Your “payment” is the prospective customers contact information and permission to have further communications with them.
On an ongoing, non-negotiable, no-excuses basis, use traditional ways (direct mail, email, press releases, advertisements, etc.) as well as new and creative ways to present your free gift offer to as many prospective customers as you possibly can.
At an appropriate interval (weekly, bi-weekly, monthly), send useful, helpful, valuable, and interesting information to your contacts. At the bottom of your communication piece, extend an offer for a product or service that is fairly low cost – say in the $20-$50 range. Ideally, you’ll have a number of offers in this low-price range so that if one offer doesn’t grab your potential customer, another one will.
As soon as a prospective customer buys one of your low-price offers, he or she immediately move into a new list where you start promoting bigger, similar, related, or more advanced products that cost around $100.
As soon as a customer purchases your $100 product, they immediately move into a new list where you start promoting bigger, similar, related, or more advanced products that cost around $200.
As soon as a customer purchases your $200 product, they immediately move to a list where you are promoting a $500 product, and then a $1,000 product, then a $1,500 product, then a $2,000 product. The ceiling to how high you can go is limited to only your creativity and your ability to provide value. There are programs that members pay $1,000,000 per year to be a part of. And, these people who pay these membership fees feel it’s worth every penny they pay to be a part of them.

Now, I’ll acknowledge that it’s sometimes quite difficult to develop a progressive customer relationship like this and that some businesses are more suited to this type of progression than others. But that doesn’t take away from the importance of structuring your business this way – even when you don’t think you can, you can… if you’ll get creative. God gave you the ability to create. God gave you the ability to think. See The Thinking Formula and The Thinking Formula – A Reprise.

If after your best efforts, you aren’t able to come up with a way to structure your business, products, and services in a progression like I’ve described above, then you at least want to structure it in a way where your business repeats itself over and over.

Maybe it’s a membership program. Maybe it’s a new “product every month” kind of program. Maybe it’s a “maintenance” program where you are paid on an ongoing basis by your customers so that they always have the latest and greatest product or service from you or they always have you to care for them when they need you to take care of something for them. Maybe it’s “royalties” or “licensing fees”. There are many different method that I may get into in a later post.

What’s important for you to grasp right now is that you are looking for Residual Revenue – money that keeps on coming to you, on regular and repeated intervals.

The Marketing Formula – Part 1

Up to this point I have spent a lot of time writing about developing a Biblically-based mindset of wealth. And, because your mindset is 95% or more of what it takes for you to become a Millionaire For Jesus, I’ll undoubtedly write more about this in the future. At the same time, I need to start sharing with you the actual business principles and philosophies that every Millionaire For Jesus uses directly or indirectly.

Just to make sure we are together, the cycle of business generally follows this format:

Product/Service Creation Or Acquisition
Marketing
Sales
Product/Service Delivery And Or Implementation
Product/Service Support And Customer Care

Of these 5 business elements, Marketing is one of the more important elements and yet it is typically the least understood element.

It’s worth noting that companies that are good at marketing are typically the most successful companies and they can grow to whatever level they want to – including joining the Fortune 500 club if they so desire. Microsoft Corporation is an example of a company that is great at Marketing.

Because of the importance of Marketing, I’m going to discuss it first. This way, you can start paying attention to how other companies are Marketing and ultimately decide how you want to market whatever it is that you choose to Market.

So, starting at a high level, here is the ULTRA-SECRET Marketing Formula that so few people know about let alone understand:

Create an ever-growing MONEY-SOURCE (customer list) by constantly collecting the contact information of as many customers and prospective customers as you can.
Communicate with your MONEY-SOURCE (customer list) in the right way at the right time.

It’s Waiting For You To Find It…

See if this is you…

You’ve read my posts about starting your own business. You’ve read my posts about selling and offering products and services. You’ve read my posts about offering their KEABA to the marketplace.

But you are arguing back that you don’t have a marketplace. You are saying you don’t have any prospects or customers. You want me to understand that you don’t…

Stop right there!

Here’s what the Word of the Lord says:

“Surely there is a vein for the silver, and a place for gold where they fine it.” – Job 28:1

There IS a vein of revenue that God has prepared for you.

There IS a place that is full of customers – made especially for you by God.

And it’s a sure thing. It’s a sure deal. It’s for sure. There really is a marketplace just for you that is full of prospects and customers.

The thing is, they aren’t going to drop in your lap. YOU have to go do some exploration. You have to go do some digging and mining. You have to do some searching and testing.

As the Bible says, “Seek, and ye shall find” (Matthew 7:7) and “He that seeketh, findeth.” (Matthew 7:8)

The Bible also tells us that God takes care of the sparrows and that we need to realize how much more He is going to take care of us (Matthew 10 & Luke 12).

But sparrows don’t just sit on tree limbs all day without moving. They are out looking and searching. They are working to get themselves in position to receive of God’s blessings.

As a boy, I can remember taking scraps of food outside for my Mother. There wouldn’t be a bird in sight. But within minutes of putting the scrap-food out, there would be birds pecking away at the food.

How did they find it?

First, they were searching. Two, they let God lead them.
