The Last Words Of A Dying Man...

Part 1

1 Chronicles 29:12 – “Both riches and honour come of thee [O Lord], and thou reignest over all; and in thine hand is power and might; and in thine hand it is to make great, and to give strength unto all.

These are some of the words of a dying man who had a meager beginning taking care of farm animals.

These are the words of a man who was born the youngest of 8 boys and brought up in a culture where the oldest received all of his parent’s material possessions and the youngest received nothing.

At a very young age, this man realized that because of his birth “position” there was not one single person that he could look to for help up.

I mean think about it, who wants to invest time, energy, or money into a dirty farm boy who has nothing and who has no prospects of a future?

As a boy, this man’s own father discounted him as nothing and worthless – good only for tending to the animals.

Of course, this man had a mother but there is no mention of her in any of his history – evidently, she didn’t want anything to do with him either.

Are you one of those “disadvantaged” people with no one to help you?

Are you one of those “little” people that family, acquaintances, and society has relegated to the status of nothing and unimportant – a person who is good for nothing more than some menial job?

At a young age, this man decided that because of his situation he could either think really small or he could think really big. He decided that he would think really big.

He said, OK, there’s not a single person who will help me…

So, who is ABOVE people?

That would be God!

So, I’m going to turn to God for help. I’m going to trust in God to lift me up.

At a young age, this man realized that even though there weren’t any people interested in helping him, he also realized that there was no one who could stop him from looking up to the Lord for help.

These are the last recorded words of King David – a man who was a giant killer, a man who taught and showed others how to become giant killers, a man who amassed great wealth and used it to expand God’s Kingdom, a man who showed and taught others how to amass great wealth so that they too could expand God’s Kingdom.

Part 2

1 Chronicles 29:12 – “Both riches and honour come of thee [O Lord], and thou reignest over all; and in thine hand is power and might; and in thine hand it is to make great, and to give strength unto all.

There are some important principles in these last words of King David:
  1. God is in control of all. God reigns over all.
  2. Because God has unlimited power and might, anything and everything is possible with Him – for those who trust in Him.
  3. No matter how powerful certain people may appear and no matter how much “control” they want to assert over your life, they are nothing to God when you are trusting in Him.
  4. No matter how dire external circumstances may seem, they are nothing to God and they are nothing to you when you are trusting in God.
  5. It’s in God’s hands to make people great – if they will receive it. Most people won’t.
  6. It’s in God’s hands to give strength (spiritual, familial, physical, and financial) to everyone who will accept it. Most people won’t.
  7. Most people would like to have riches and honor but they are so busy looking to other people to make everything happen for them that they never turn their lives over to God so that He can make them great.

Just as King David did, you too can trust in God, you too do great things to further the Kingdom of God, you too can teach and show others how to do great things to further the Kingdom of God.

Go ahead and turn your life over to God.

Dare to believe and trust in Him.

See if He don’t lift you up and make you great and give you strength and give you riches and honor.

Look at King David's last word's one more time:

"Thine, O LORD, is the greatness, and the power, and the glory, and the victory, and the majesty: for all that is in the heaven and in the earth is thine; thine is the kingdom, O LORD, and thou art exalted as head above all. Both riches and honour come of thee, and thou reignest over all; and in thine hand is power and might; and in thine hand it is to make great, and to give strength unto all. Now therefore, our God, we thank thee, and praise thy glorious name."

You Can Accomplish Great Things When You Have This…

Matthew 9:38 and Luke 10:2 reveals an important principle: “The harvest truly is great, but the labourers are few: pray ye therefore the lord of the harvest, that he would send forth labourers into his harvest.

God has a great harvest.

God has great abundance.

Bringing forth increase is no problem for God.

God’s problem is that He has very few laborers.

There are different ways to labor in the Kingdom of God.

Some provide physical labor. Some provide prayer and fasting. Some provide financial support.

The truth is, if you have sufficient financial ability, you can do far more for the Kingdom of God than you can without financial ability.

Of course, God can work the miraculous – He doesn’t have to use people or money.

But normally, He uses people to accomplish His work and people require money to accomplish their work.

The Bible tells us in Ecclesiastes 10:19, “but money answereth all things.” If you study this verse out, the word “answereth” means the same thing as “accomplishes”.

In other words, with money, you and I can accomplish all kinds of great things for the Kingdom of God.

I pray that God make you a Millionaire For Jesus so that you have the resources to go forth and be a laborer in His harvest. A laborer who brings forth fruit and increase unto the Lord.

Is This Why You Don’t Have A Million Dollars?

Think about this…

Until you make the decision to do something or have something, you don’t need ANY resources.

If you haven’t decided to become a Millionaire For Jesus, why would you need a million dollars?

If you don’t have visions of you doing certain specific things to build up the Kingdom of God, why should you have any resources?

The fact is, until you can see yourself doing things for the Kingdom of God and make the decision to do them, YOU DON’T NEED ANY RESOURCES!

But, when you commit to doing a work for God, the resources will start appearing.

Do you find yourself with limited resources and limited money?

Is it because you have no vision of what to do with it?

Is it because you haven’t made a decision to do something great and grand for God’s Kingdom?

The Waiting Strategy

In Mark Chapter 2 we read a story of four men who wanted to see their friend helped…

And they come unto him, bringing one sick of the palsy, which was borne of four. And when they could not come nigh unto him for the press, they uncovered the roof where he was: and when they had broken it up, they let down the bed wherein the sick of the palsy lay. When Jesus saw their faith…
  1. These men weren’t going to wait around for something to happen.
  2. These men weren’t going to be put off by obstacles.
  3. These men weren’t looking for reasons why they could not get what they wanted.
  4. The knew that Jesus was where their help was at and they TOOK ACTION on what they knew.
  5. Jesus didn't respond to the need or the problem.
  6. It was when they took action that Jesus “SAW their faith” and responded.

Taking your Knowledge, Experience, and Abilities and WAITING is a strategy that DOES NOT work.

Taking ACTION based on the Knowledge, Experience and Abilities that you do have right now is a strategy that DOES work.

If you want to become a Millionaire For Jesus, you must take action.

For those of you who have been following my articles for a while, what action have you taken since the last time I wrote about taking action? If you haven’t taken any action, notice that your financial situation is no better than it was the last time I wrote about taking action.

Take the leap of faith and take action now. Your only regret will be that you didn’t take action sooner.

In 2 Kings Chapter 3, we see a story about the army of Israel besieged by the Moabite army and the Israelites have no water. Finally in desperation they call for the prophet Elisha. He tells them, if you want water, you have to dig ditches all through this valley that you are in. AFTER they dug the ditches, THEN God sent the water.

Is your bank account on the “dry” side? Grab hold of faith and belief, take action and get to “digging your ditches” based on the Knowledge, Experience, and Abilities that you have right now. Once you’ve done your part, God will do his part. At the same time, God won’t do His part until you do your part.

If you want God to work in your finances, you’ve got to take action. The waiting strategy won’t work.

1 Corinthians 3:6 reveals to us, “I have planted, Apollos watered; but God gave the increase.

Now, we know that this setting of scripture is referring to winning souls to the Kingdom of God. But, at the same time, it reveals one of the laws of God. Action is required on our part before God will do His part.

God has given you Knowledge, Experience, and Abilities. He tells you to have faith in Him to work through you. For Him to work through you, you must take action.

2 Corinthians 1:19 let’s us know, “For all the promises of God in him are yea, and in him Amen, unto the glory of God by us.

How is God to get glory from you if you won’t take action?

Go to prayer. Let God lead you. Listen to God as He talks to your heart and then take action on God’s prompting.

The waiting strategy doesn’t work.

3 Must-Use Tools

Tool #1:
Have faith in God (Mark 10:27 - “For with God all things are possible”) and combine that faith in God with belief in yourself (Philippians 4:13 – “I can do all things through Christ which strengtheneth me”).

Tool #2:
Look at things from a simple numbers perspective. I don’t mean an advanced calculus perspective, I mean from a basic numbers perspective. In other words, if you want $1,000,000 this year, how could you break that down into numbers that are specific and meaningful?

Well, if you had a $50 product that would mean that you need to make 20,000 sales which means that you need to make 1,667 sales each month.

If you had a $250 product, then you need to make 4,000 sales which is 333 sales per month.

Start breaking every problem you face and every opportunity or idea that comes to you down into simple and specific numbers like this.

Now, using the latter example, if you need 333 sales per month, and there are on average 22 working days per month, that means you need 15 sales per business day.

How are you going to make 15 sales per day? By using the third tool...

Tool #3:
You use words. What words can you use to make 15 sales per day? If you don’t know, put some words out into your market place and see what happens.

If you didn’t make your 15 sales, then you weren’t using the right words. Change them. Come up with better, more persuasive, more helpful words and put them back out into your marketplace and see if you get better results.

Talk to your ideal customer and listen to what words they use - and incorporate those words into your sales letters and sales talk.

Keep at it until you reach your 15 sales per day.

Bottom Line:
These are the tools that God gave each of us.

God doesn't give out junk! I hope you recognize that these are multi-million dollar tools.

Most people aren’t using them. Are you?

What Do You Think Of This Man’s Perspective?

The following comes from Robert Proctor:

Prosperity is the manifestation of big, exciting, service-oriented goals. The fact is, there is no virtue in poverty and no sin in great wealth.

One of the ideas you must free yourself from is that there is virtue in poverty. That could not be true.

George B. Shaw once said, “It is a sin to be poor.”

You know that sin is the transgression of the law.

You also know that money is a reward received for service rendered.

Therefore, if you are in a profit-making enterprise and you are earning very little money, you must not be providing much service. The law says, “Give and you will receive.” If you are not receiving much, you are not giving, and that is a sin.

Therefore, Shaw’s statement is accurate – it is a sin to be poor.

Are You Guilty of These Two Loves?

Here's the first love that will break you...

Proverbs 21:17 – “He that loveth pleasure shall be a poor man

If you “live for the weekend” – you love pleasure.

If you find yourself constantly buying “trinkets” and “doo-dads” and “stuff” that you don’t really need but it makes you feel good to buy them – you love pleasure.

If you constantly go from TV to videos to the movies and back to TV – you love pleasure.

Are there other pleasures that you find yourself loving – that are causing you to be a poor person?

Here's the second love that will ruin you...

1 Timothy 6:10 – “For the love of money is the root of all evil: which while some coveted after, they have erred from the faith, and pierced themselves through with many sorrows.

We can either love money or we can love God. It’s impossible to love both. Matthew 6:24 tells us this, “No man can serve two masters: for either he will hate the one, and love the other; or else he will hold to the one, and despise the other. Ye cannot serve God and mammon.

Here's the problem. When you love and want and crave money above all else, you are on a track to absolute ruin. When money is your first consideration and God, family, or people are your second consideration, then you are on a track to absolute ruin.

Think of it like this. Throughout the entire Bible, we get repeated glimpses of God's unfathomable wealth, riches, and splendor. But, no where in the Bible will you find anything about God loving His wealth, riches, and splendor.

What you will find over and over is that He loves people.

He loves you.

He wants you to love Him back.

And in fact, it’s when you and I love God above all else that everything else will start working for us.

Consider these two key verses:
  1. Romans 8:28 – “And we know that all things work together for good to them that love God
  2. Matthew 6:33 – “But seek ye first the kingdom of God, and his righteousness; and all these things shall be added unto you.

Make sure your love is focused on the right thing - on God!

“The One Way To Make Your Dreams Come True”

What is it that you catch yourself dreaming about from time to time?

What is it that you see yourself doing or accomplishing in your dream?

Who do you see yourself helping?

Geographically, where do you see yourself at in your dream?

What are the feelings that you feel in your dream?

What is it that makes your dream so wonderful?

If only your dream could come true…

I’ve got good news for you! Your dreams can come true.

We can find the way to make dreams a reality in Ecclesiastes 5:3 – “For a dream cometh through the multitude of business”.

The sooner you turn your KEABA (Knowledge, Experience, Ability, Belief, Action) into a business, the sooner your dreams are going to come true. (See the '2005-10-09' archive for more on KEABA)

When you are working for someone else, you are helping them achieve their dreams.

How can you bring your dreams to a reality if you are busy working on someone else's?

When you get your own business going, you can bring your own dreams to fruition.

Note: In reference to the word “multitude”, see http://www.millionairesforjesus.com/Blog/2005/11/srs-formula.html.

How To Think

We find the answer on how we are supposed to think in Proverbs 21:5: “The thoughts of the diligent tend only to plenteousness; but of every one that is hasty only to want.

The thoughts” – notice that everything starts with the right thoughts.
tend only” – This lets us know that our thoughts must be focused and single-minded
plenteousness” – notice that these are not thoughts of lack or thoughts of what we don’t want.

It is important that you be careful about how you frame your thinking.

For example, setting a goal of “getting out of debt” might sound good on the surface. But, when you dig into it, it really means that your goal is to always have debt so that you can always work at getting out of it. Just about the time you start to get out of debt, you will do something to put yourself right back into debt so that you can continue working on your goal of “getting out of debt”.

Obviously, this isn't what you want!

A better way to reframe this goal might be, “operate on a cash-only basis and never owe anyone”.

hasty” – this is the kind of person looking for easy, fast, a shortcut or something for nothing. This is the kind of person who can't even conceive of "giving" because they are so busy "wanting". This is the kind of person who wants to do it "their" way instead of God’s way. Ultimately, this kind of person’s life is marked with poverty, lack, and want.
